John Strongi'th'arm Stanley's daughter Sophie, from his second marriage to Mary Deane was born 22 March 1852. In 1869 she married Eduard Wilhelm Guido Klaus and their son Stanley Edward Reinhard Klaus was born 17 September 1970.

Stanley married Catherine Amelia Persse Onge at Moonie Ponds in the district of Collingwood, Melbourne, Australia on 29 April 1899. Their son Robert Deane Stanley Klaus was born 26 August 1901 at 'Hayestown', Moonie Ponds.
