Great Grandfather 'Unlucky Bob' Stanley born 1857. We are not sure why he was knicknamed 'Unlucky Bob', but it was next to his entry in the Family Birthday Book. It could possibly be that his fourth child Pattie died at birth in May 1891 to be followed a few days later by his first wife Selina. He remarried in 1892 to Harriett Ann Barlow only for his first child of that union Robert born July 1893 to die a week later. Another daughter Eva born December 1900 also died when she was three years old. In total he had three surviving children from his first marriage and three from his second. He died in 1934.
